    Hardly.

If this is what you really believe, you're having a hard time grasping reality. I haven't seen one "ttrundle was not out of line" comment yet.

If there was, please point us to that post.

uh thanks for your input...however you're involved. I'm not looking for supporters, just pointing out there are not as many detractors as one would think - like I could count them on one hand.

Please stop trolling. You are not the issue at hand....in this thread.

Will someone please take down the "Please crap here" sign on this thread so we can actually get something resolved before it gets closed.

Granted I am not asking anyone to go there and police the action. It would just be nice to see some consistency. I know it's been said many times "we can read them all". Maybe there aren't enough of you. I mean what do we have here for mods?

MarkEagle - frequent presence and frequent action.
    Toolkit - about the same
Ronbo2000 - not much action from this guy.
    KRamsauer - scarce of late
    Miradu - who?
Marcus - Only shows up rarely
James - So infrequent I cant even remember his login name.
    WeeBitObsessed - honorary staff member?

So we have what it seems to be 2 full time mods and 2 part timers and 3 maybe four occasional visitors. Seems pretty clear to me that understaffing is an issue.

    <--going to wash my hands.
    You are dead right.
And this is probably also why Mark and I sometimes lack diplomacy at times. Since we are both human we have our limits.
For me the limit has been reached, I've spend years on this forum and have spend many hours moderating, but lately any action that is taken by the mods gets attacked. We are not perfect, but have a look at yourself first before you judge another. Some people here seem to like they are in grade school I totally agree with Mark on that. And let me tell you it is damn frustrating if you want to keep things clean and going smooth and some people act like kids and refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.

I've decided I'v had enough and am quiting moderating here, maybe even stop comming here alltogether.
Mark, I'm sorry to burden you with basically running the forum on your own..

I don't think that this is an unreasonable expectation on the behalf of the forum members.

The cold hard truth is that we don't need to justify what we do, though we do attempt to most of the time. Any action (or inaction) we take will likely be unpopular with someone. There will always be malcontents and there really isn't anything we can do about that.

The past few months, however, there has been a pretty clear trend of arbitrary and inconsistent moderation.
This is a two-way street. Over the past few months, there has been a clear trend of users thinking TC is a playground where anything goes. The moderation has changed because the general atmosphere around here has.

The minute and mods actions are questioned, you all go on the defensive.
No more so than many users do when their actions are questioned.

OK, Mark, you're obviously not going to address my points, you simply wish to keep discussing your original actions and pointing to the terms of service, rather than having a reasonable discussion.

What your response amounts to is "we will do what we want...like it or leave". I suppose that's valid in your eyes. It's pretty lame and weak in mine. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

While the forum owners do have the right to set the rules and enforce them as they see fit, I still believe that most of this grief is avoidable by simply posting explanations for your actions. Nobody says that we all have to agree with them (that's not possible). You obviously don't think you should have to do that. I guess that's your choice, but IMO that leaves you open to attack on a continual basis, and really seems a bit childish...."because we said so".

The "because we said so" normally comes after people get why?, why?, why? all the time and have no more time/patience to keep going over the same thing..
Who's at fault for that I let you decide...

It does get personal if you get attacked for all actions you take, and even private messages get published as ammo to strengthen their point :/

Basically I've had enough of having to defend myself for trying to keep up the rules.. personal or not, it is not worth it for me..
I started the modding as a volunteer to help out the TC community, but it seems the community and I have grown appart. This started off as an informational site where people occasionally fool around a bit. Now it is the other way around and you get attacked for pointing that out.

Hey you keep claiming the mods are too strict.. with me leaving and only leaving 1 active mod behind enjoy your 'freedom'...

Now, I think this is hilarious. Practically every other post(s) has a double entendre...most of which is of a sexual nature.

I once recall the moderators staying on top of this because they were aware that some of the members where under 18 with Treos. Not necessarily a 600/650, but a Treo all the same.

They've stopped doing this, and at this point, I am no longer sure just what the mods feel is important!
