I just came across a GREAT article titled How To Ask Questions The Smart Way that explains in rather easy language how one should conduct oneself in an online community. As a moderator I can truely say that if everyone followed what it says, my job would be a whole lot easier.

Anyway, I thought I'd pass it on since it has a lot of good advice for anyone participating in online forums.

A little overwritten, but certainly helpful. I find it incredible how kind knowledgeable people are with advice and would just as soon not be rude...mb

Mark, Is there a way to make this come up as the manditory first header in EVERY forum!
Also a pointer to RTFM and the boards FAQ would also be great advise!
It would be real nice if posters were unable to post until they read your advise.

Not that anyone will read it of course. But a good start!
    Thanks. It was great advise.

    Mark -

gtwo over in Future Treos thread pointed you out as one of the few pre-millennium members left - is there a way to check out how many of us old geezers there are? As I told gtwo, I'm thinking of adding a walker to my avatar.

This has some good tips (ala Red Vs Blue from Halo). Give it to about 30 seconds & then it gets really good. Yes, this is related to this thread:
