Anyone else's avatar broken? [Mods, please delete mine]

I'd gotten a little tired of having a default questionmark avatar in the forum header and in groups postings, to i went to replace it with a clear 1×1 PNG. Big mistake... the forum software replaced it with a large white square, and nothing else i upload can replace it, the "save" button doesn't work on the Passport config page.

This is just so.. stupid looking

And there's no way now to undo what i'd done..

OK I think we found the problem and now fixed it.

I've switched it to suitably anonymous looking silhouette for you.

I was now able to upload a "background-colored" file as a replacement. Thanks again

For whatever reason the forum software uses GIFs instead of PNGs. GIFs (newer ones) do support transparency, but the forum software probably doesn't care.

Mine has had a change of background colour from grey to green a week or so ago.

A new system was put in place today where if you click on someone's username above their avatar you get a new pop-up menu. Looks like some avatars got a bit wonky in the process.

Admin is monitoring this forum regularly for you
