How about letting the OP edit thread titles?

I don't mean letting the user change the title completely after the thread has been posted, but rather having a script that will let through a limited change to fix an odd typo, such as "****-up windows", "user prifile", or say missing punctuation.

Maybe it's too much hassle, but i've personally had instances where the typo stuck and there was nothing i could to correct it and avoid public embarrassment, short of PM-ing a mod who already has too much on his hands.

No PM'ing necessary... just hit the Report button and a moderator will get the note right away for the change (we aren't that busy and it only takes a second to make the change).
