New posts not working with the new login

Hey there,
after switching to the passport thingy, I can login and I can browse the forum. I even can open the new posts page and get the newest ones.
However when I logoff the posts are not marked as read anymore and I get them next time again. Normally after logging off, the new posts would be reset and start all over. That helped a lot of tracking what is going on.
Any clue how to fix this?

It seems new posts are not synced between different computers, even before Passport. I've had read posts marked as new on my TP and phone after I read them on my laptop. You just have to remember what you last read. I find it useful to note which thread I last posted in, and know that everything above is new.

I'm having the same issue, but I did not have the same experience as GMMan. The site used to always remember my unread posts. Now, my "New Posts" list keeps growing longer and longer. Hope it gets fixed!

i've noticed the same problem several times in the past it usually goes away after a while.

The annoying part of the new login for me, is that I am now remembered all the time on the site, but I have to login to the forums every time now. It used to be the other way around.

Annnddddd.... it's now worse. I have to actually sign in to the site every time I want to use the forums. Can this thing be suspended until it's properly tested out? You guys must surely have a testing environment?

The login/logout works for me, but as I said, it does not remember the read posts correctly on the new posts.

Is actually a site admin reading this? Some attention would be nice... :-)

I feel sure someone sees it... You could try Crackberry to have a better chance of Kevin seeing it...

But regardless, now I have to login into the forums, even though I'm logged into the site :-/

Sorry for the delay in responding.

We are actively working on this and other issues related to the Passport login. The code was tested extensively but with the variety of OS/Browser combos out there is bound to be some glitches. Will post an update tomorrow.

Well in fact i had no real problem besides the constant relogin (which was never needed), but since i activated account on all nation sites i can't relogin with webosNations unofficial app. Browser Pre3 works, it seems.

Try to reset you password under the Cogwheel, your accounts, Change Password. I may need to the developer to reach out to me so we can assist him with integrating against Passpor.t

The relogin has been on and off. By any chance the system uses IP addresses for tokens? My connection dropped out and got connected to a different AP, and I'm logged out even though I was still on the page.

On Chrome I still had to go through the full login, and the mobile version can't login at all. On my TP I still have t click on the login button.

Just hit the 'New Posts' button and got the error below. Then when I cleared the address bar down to "forums.webosnation.com" I was able to get back in, but was logged out again.

The mobile site will not let me login in today from my Pre3. I have to go to the full site and then switch to mobile. Also checking stay logged in doesn't seem to work anymore, I get logged out after a certain amount of time. Not fun on a mobile device.

Same here. I use the mobile site so I can load faster on desktop browsers on slow connections.

Seriously can we turn off this passport bullcrap until it's fixed? It's annoying and I don't give a rat's crap about being able to post in iMore or AndroidCentral.

Well now, when going from the main site to the forums, all I have to do is click the Login button, the page refreshes and then I'm logged in. Now I don't have to re enter my login
