Default Site slow/double posting

Somehow today the site has become abnormally slow and frequently tries to double post what I've written. Also, it would hang if I submit a post edit using quick edit. I've also noticed that many people's forum apps are not correctly quoting and BBCoding tags. It sort of disrupts reading.

It's done that every day since i signed up and i signed up on Thursday of last week. I thought this kind of bug was the norm around here, so i didn't say anything, but it definitely is annoying. For that reason i always use the "slow reply" page, to avoid "quick reply" bugs and slowdowns...

The Mobile Nations family of sites just recently got upgraded to single signon, so I'm betting the problems are a side effect of that.

I just experienced the double posting myself. It doesn't seem any slower than normal though.

I experience a second and sometimes third blank web page being opened, swipe them off so its just annoying.

My posts are also double posted. And inline editiing goes weird as well. It registers the save command, but the spinner keeps spinning as if it hadn't saved it yet.

I get this a lot now. Sometimes my logged in status vanishes as well.

+1 OP

+ save in edit sometimes does not work (have to take Go Advanced first) Firefox 10.0.10 ESR (=like FF16).

This probably has a lot to do with the single sign-on and Mobile Nations Passport work... Lately the site seems (occasionally) slower, but I haven't commented in awhile, but I have noticed a lot of double posts lately...

Noticed this as well. SImply entering a post, would go to "this forum requires 10 sec blah blah", but then scroll down noticed the post is already there.

I had seen that message to, but figured it was just because my left mouse button tends to double-click when I press it. Stupid thing - when it started I was blaming the IT dept for jacking with my laptop, turns out it was really the mouse.

I think the posting issue has been solved. But there's the new problem of having to click "Log In" most of the times I open the forums. I don't have to enter my credentials, but I have to click on the button for me to access the New Posts feature.

The "quick edit" is fixed, the double post is, i haven't run into the login issue, maybe because i'm on Chrome over XP... perhaps that only happens on webOS, and i haven't bothered to test....

You can't click 'view post' from someone on your ignore list to see what the fuss is about. Maybe that's a good thing.

No, I'm on Chrome under Win7. I think it works properly on Chrome under Android, and haven't tested on webOS. I suppose I should clear my cookies, but I'm too lazy to type in my credentials for a dozen sites again.

Just go to chrome://settings/content and under "Content Settings" in the "cookies" section there is the "All cookies and site data" button. When you click on that you can search for cookies for a particular site and then click on the individual entry and an x will appear on the right....

I hate deleting cookies all at once, so the cookie search feature is a real time saver...

Nope, happening to me all the time with Chrome on XP. It just seems to forget I am logged in. Just now I clicked login (fine) then clicked 'today's posts' and it immediately thought I needed to login again. Very frustrating.
Clicking on the next page in a list of topics also seems to need another login more often that not (but not always so it's not a cookie problem).
