Can you guys not ban people on front page comments too?

Those people who got banned on the forums are having a hey-day in the post comments...

I think there is a reason why they got banned.

I believe he meant 'Why aren't you banning the people trolling the front page?' as opposed to 'Could you not ban them please'.

Maybe if we put out some troll food...they would graze for a while, get sleepy, and take a nap. What do trolls eat, news of webOS?

Of course, once they fall asleep, we relocate them to an island somewhere deep in the internet with no bridges to anywhere, no way off. Then, we throw in some numinous presence they have to deal with as they attempt to survive...all the while having flashbacks (or are they flashforwards?) of their life off the island. That should keep them entertained...and might make for a good weekly show on tv!

Yeah... Nobody is banned there. I think that should change.

It's best to just ignore comments like those. The attention they get is only fuel for future trolling.

Ignore them all and you won't miss a thing.

I dunno, some of the speculation can be interesting to read. But the majority of comments do absolutely nothing to improve my day.

Then maybe we need to link the REAL comments from the frontpage stories to a forum post where a 'troll free' conversation can take place.

Then can we also ban the spelling police who go beyond offering a simple correction but feel the need to disparage the writers of the stories with their corrections.

Good idea. If they are worth banning from the forums and front page story handling doesn't provide for banning, this would be a good solution.

I rarely read the comments, because of the troll density.

New forum specifically to discuss news topics... a lot of other forums have that.

OR...Mobile Nations could update the front page code so those trolls comments could "explode magically" into "glittery dust" or something.

Due to the fact i almost always use Communities i normally dont catch the front page articles. I guess thats good.
