Personally I love smartphones and keep up on all the different OS's . I have Android , Palm and WEBOS phones in the house now. ALso I am a originall Palm/Handspring user. its in my blood. My very first phone was the Handspring Prism with the Sprint attachment. Had every Palm Phone up to the Pre. Now that they are HP i left. I now look at google like I used to look at Palm. my palm stickers, tshirts etc. Now I got Android figures. shirts etc. Again still got a Centro (and a Pre) in the family and palm will always be in my blood.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. And especially thank you for keeping this thread on topic. Since about the 20th response, the results have been pretty steady around the current percentages:

74% To learn about HP Palm products, software, and accessories
    49% For help
    50% To help others
42% To keep up to date on competing products and trends
55% To see what others are talking about
    32% Because I am bored
7% Other (please post an explanation)

I should have listed "For fun" because that is one of my reasons in addition to all of the above.

People come here for all sorts of reasons. We can't assume that everyone is here for the same reason we are.

Mr. Subliminal says: "Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, and try to love one another right now..."

I'm reading this from the mobile side (so this may or may not make sense on the full side)... Why are the percentages adding up to a helluva lot more than 100?

Probably because with this poll you can choose multiple items. If you could only choose one of the items on the list we would get a total of 100%. Because you can select multiples, the numbers are actually showing the "Percentage of the respondents chose: x"

    Because it's a multi-choice poll.

You're confusing yourself, none of the choices add up to over 100 individually.

    I'm with you 224%
I guess the question is 224% of what? 1000?

    I always thought 150% was 1.5

So if 75% of us feel one way, why isn't there only 25% more of us?

    Or perhaps; 10% + 10% + 25% +30% + 25% = 100%

How is there more than 100 percent of us?
    Just call me Berd.

Not sure if you are serious, but it is possible for all of them to be 100% at the same time.
