When I'm browsing the forums, there's a link at the top of every page that says:

Announcement: [Read Me] - Forum Guidelines - tobias funke (Member)

When I click on it, this is what I get:

jjeffcoat, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Anyone know why I can't access the guidelines that I'm (apparantly) supposed to read?

click the guy's name or other links in that area. i forget which one works, but one of them will show you the guidlines and remove that thing from your screen. it doesn't work as you would expect, but eventually you will find the link that does it.

it took me quite a few clicks to figure out that it seems to have a bug in it and stumble on a workaround...
