I've been having the same problem for several weeks. I'd love to know a fix for this so I can visit the site more. It used to be one of my favorites!

I'm having this problem now on my desktop and one of my laptops. The other laptop is fine, so far. The Banner and a bunch of vertical lines are on the entire screen and I have to scroll all the way to the right to see the actual forum page...

Is downloading something the only way to fix it? It just started happening yesterday.

    Perry,

Was switching to Firefox the only way to solve this issue?

perry - sending you a pm.

Could somebody post some screen shots of this? does it happen on every thread or maybe just on certain threads (i.e. do we need to be stricter about what stuff we allow to be posted?)?

Sounds to me like the problem stems from the user launching IE instead of Firefox.

It's soooo odd, only two of my computers are doing this!!! I second the request for pink pin stripes. If I must see them they should at least be pretty...

But I'm using IE on all three computers and only two of them are having the problem...

It's only displaying on the thread pages, but it's on every single one. The TC home page and store are normal...

Sorry, I was just kidding around. Things should, of course, display normally...even in IE.

DOOSH: Here's a question: I'm taking a closer look at Perry's screen shot and I'm seeing stuff that shouldn't even be on the page - namely what appears to be extra characters on the very top left? it also appears (from looking at the top right of the banner) that the issue is being caused by a table cell not closing properly in some cases - we might be missing a < / td > somewhere that's ticking off some browsers but not all.

ZO: can those of you experiences the beauty of the pinstripey issues go to discussion.treocentral.com (the main discuss page) and view the source? Copy it all and email that to me at dieter@treocentral.com ?

Edit: Also - what's that little IE toolbar add-in i see in your screenie, Perry? it's possible that the add-in is putting a little extra somethin-somethin that's helping break things - i.e. it's inserting stuff into your pages?

LOL...I'm a total n00b at the actual computer stuff. I thought there was really a problem using IE, I'm sure Insertion will come on to assure me there is...

I recently converted from Firefox to IE 7 on my home computer but for some reason treocentral is all messed up. The main page looks fine but on the discussion boards the page is split in half. On the left side I see all vertical black lines and on the right side of the page all the content and topics/posts are there as usual. Has anyone experienced this problem and how could I fix it? Thanks.

I'm going to reinstall IE7 and wipe everything. Then I'm going to do everything I can to replicate this problem. My apologies to everybody - I will get this darn thing fixed.

Do you know when we can expect this to be fixed? It's sooo annoying to read these forums with the page displayed like this.

    Anyone?

I know this is off topic but driving me nuts....at work I can view these forums just fine. At home 3/4 of the screen is greyed out with the TreoCentral logo at the top with button access to "home, stories, review...etc. This leaves me just 1/4 of the screen to view threads, etc. I have to keep using the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to view. I'm running Windows XP with IE. I know it must be some browser setting....but I can't figure it out. Can anyone provide assistance?

PS...stupid question I can't figure out where in the world to check what version of IE I have. I thought there was an "about" screen in Internet Options....but It isn't.
