I am trying to get my arms wrapped around all of the different terms for the smartphones. Is there a site where all of these different terms are defined? It would really be nice for someone new.

    Thanks

What terms are you thinking about? By searching this forum for each you could probably find an answer. I assume you have a list in mind?

    Just about everything:

    TCPMP
    PIE
    EVDO

If it is abbreviated, chances are it is Greek to me.

    Thanks

Is there a one stop shop for the terms? Unfortunately some are the terms are about applications and the others are mobile phone standards. I tried google to search.

    To start:
TCPMP - The Core Pocket Media Player is an open-source media player for Palm OS-based and Windows CE / Windows Mobile-based devices. See: http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about

PIE - Pocket Internet Explorer = Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer for Microsoft Windows CE provides a compact mobile Internet browser that is optimized for devices with small, vertically oriented displays and for cached or customized content. Try Microsoft Development area : http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...orerorient.asp

EVDO - EVolution Data Optimized = a wireless data standard adopted by CDMA mobile service phone companies. For further info, see - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EVDO
