Not exactly. But it's a start.
I wonder of the exclude command can be appended to the link for individualized new posts:

    aprasad, give it another try.

On the Daily post without Windows, I have changed it to excluded the Win OS Hardware forum as well. On the Daily post, without Palm, I have excluded the Palm OS Hardware for 650/600 and Older Treo forums. Are you sure you guys what to exclude the hardware forums as well?

On the question of getnew, yes, you can also put the excludes. I just don't like using the getnew because I would miss some of the post for the day even if I have just momentarily logged on and had to get a phone call and after a while then get back to T/C. Anyway, we are still testing this link so if it works, I will type out the whole command so you can put it as your bookmark on your Treo.

then we could click that and get the new messages excluding the WM forums. Same for a link that excluded the POS forums.

Same for the mobile page http://treo.treocentral.com That has a link on it called "Forums". If you added links titled "New POS messages" and "New WM messages" (defined the way you have crafted them) then we could get to the appropriate new messages on the handheld...

    Am I making sense?
Yes, got what you've stated here. I will check with the admin guys if they could put it in.

Hmmm, you seem to be getting something different. I still can't figure out why it does not return results on your Treo 600 when it works on my Treo 600 (TMo).

Can you do me a favor, please type this on the goto command of your Blazer: "http://treo.discuss.treocentral.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=79,81,78,80,76" without the quotes (").

    ronbo,
I like the getnew idea. Is this something we have to initiate or are you considering adding this in a link?

you can exclude forums fromthe "getnew" as well.
    http://discuss.treocentral.com/searc...77,78,79,80,81
will get rid of all Treo 700W forums

... just modify the list of forums you want to exclude...

    Tks fasuin, that helped.
Do you have the mobile link that would do the same. The one I am using from previous post elimianates w forums but the list is not in chronological order.

OK guys here what's happening to me:

In both the daily full T/C link and mobile link the post are not necessarily in chronoligical order. Is that the way it should be?

This was a great idea. Now I would really like to exclude the OffTopic forum.
(If I could fine tune it to exclude just political threads, that would be even better!)

So, a user coustomizable savable search would be great. Next go round, guys?

When ever I use the link above I get to where I want to go. However, once I get there and then save that url as a favorite, it only works for a while. Then you get the "Sorry-no matches. Please try some different terms."

Previously, when I said things were OK, they were for a while.

Am I the only one having this issue or am I doing something wrong in saving the URL?

You can't bookmark the current view as the link resolves into a numeric value which is derived by time and expires later, hence when you reuse the bookmark again, it comes up with the "Sorry-no matches" statement. To save or bookmark the view, type or copy and paste this on your bookmark (without the double quotes - "):
This is for exclusions of Windows H/W and Win O/S threads. I changed the getdaily to getnew as you requested.

This one is for the exclusions of Palm H/W and Palm O/S threads:

For regular full site view, drop the leading treo and &styleid=12, like below:

For complete daily posting, change the getnew to getdaily, like below:

Is it possible with vBulletin to implement a "New post by board" functionality? (as with MTDN)

I've saved this in Favs. Because I like it.
I have been trying to figure out how it works.
I also want 'off topics' filtered out.
I'm only here to share & learn about the Treo, particularly 650 & 700p.
    I know, I'm a pretty Boring Person
    Any Suggests?
    (other than my being boring)

You can skip the &styleid if you don't want the mobile stylesheet version.
