Is there anyway to make Flash wallpapers? I know the Samsung Glyde has this ability....why not the pre?

Because Flash is not supported on WebOS yet.

Try this out! I made this up and tried it on my phone. It looks pretty cool.

I'm assuming you know how to add these on your phone as a boot logo right? When the pre boots up it fades back and forth between the two images. So it will show the first image then fade to the glowing logo while the "sons of anarchy" and "California" banners fade off and on. It looks pretty cool in my opinion. Just load it on your pre real quick and check it out.

Yeah you can change your boot screen and a bunch of other stuff with WebOS Quick Install. Its really easy.

I was a PS user for 2 years until I messed up my Windows boot. I've tried PS in WINE, but I've decided to wait a couple of months until I can get Win 7 and give GIMP a try. The control layout and keyboard shortcuts aren't at all intuitive, and I've been screwing up selections constantly, as they are useless.
/rant.
Maybe I just suck at GIMP.
