Remove Patches before Switiching Phones?

I currently have a Palm Pre Plus, and I recently purchased a Palm Pixi Plus as a backup phone. Before switching phones and signing into my palm account on the Pixi, do i need to remove all of my patches on the Pre beforehand? Or can i simply leave all of my patches on my plus and activate my Pixi with no problem?

Patches can be left, they do not transfer over with your profile.
