Default How do you remove patches?

I have no idea how to uninstall this "add date next to time" patch that I installed using webOS Quick Install. Please help!

WebOS Quick Install > Tools > Device Management (give it about 5-10 secs to load) > "User installed content" drop down box to "patches" and then uninstall whichever you choose.

You don't need to do a full erase, if by that you mean running webOS Doctor. You can run WebOS Repair Utility with compatibility override enabled to erase all of your patches without wiping your phone.

By the way, there is no guarantee you'll get your Contacts back if they're backed up on your Palm Profile. People have lost them -- with and without Palm tech assistance.

There is a version of webOS Doctor for 1.2.1 for Sprint and Bell. They've been available for a while now.

See http://forums.precentral.net/canuck-...r-utility.html. Instructions included there. Compatibility override is an option; just drop the menus and you'll see it. Make sure the box is checked and run.

im not too worried about losing anything since I backed up, i just wanna go back to my factory settings and have no more tweaks and patches. I hope this doesnt brick my phone...

Once it finishes, log into your Palm Profile, allow it to sync all your previous contacts etc and then do an update. You'll be most likely at WebOS 1.1.0 so you'll want to get updated to WebOS 1.2.1.

After that, do whatever you'd like with tweaks, patches, etc.

Either the ERP or the WebOS Repair utility would have been easier to do but oh well, next time.

You will get a stock Pre at the end of the process. If your Contacts were backed up to the Palm Profile, you should be able to retrieve them. In the event they are not restored, contact Palm and see if they can help.

For future reference, WebOS Repair Utility, when configured to do so, removes all patches and themes without removing applications or personally stored data. It's a wonderful way to avoid doctoring your Pre every time something goes wrong, which will happen to almost everyone eventually when playing here with patches and themes.
