webOS Patch Discussion
Before upgrading to a new webOS, make sure that you remove all patches. The fastest way is install the Emergency Patch Recovery.
- In WOSQI it is under the third button on the right → WebOS Internal Feed (All)
- In Preware tap Everything → Emergency Patch Recovery
Also do one last
backup and sync.
To remove all patches
and themes without losing data, use the
webOS Repair Utility with Options → Compatibility Override checked.
Homebrew Apps do not need to be removed and reinstalled. If you don't know what a tweak or patch is, you probably have never made one.
This thread is for general discussion. Please post Issues or newly found features in the other threads.

I guess that's one way to keep the traffic down, surprise the heck out of everyone by delivering the update before anyone expects it. I haven't verified the presence of the update on my own Pre yet. I've got a little unpatching to do if it really is here.
Yes it Is
Hell yea man!

Confirmed, downloading now. 126mb
Why is this update so large? 126mb is the largest update I've seen?

You can, but don't do it. You'll probably be sorry, especially if you have a theme installed.

I think the ERP is quicker at removing all patches and tweaks.

I believe, if I'm not mistaken, that it won't start installing immediately--you'll get the opportunity to tell it to install. So you might be okay.

Do you guys think the reason why my update is 123MB while yours is 126MB is because my Pre is on Bell in Canada?
