If you type a web address like Palm.com in the memo, it becomes a hyperlink. If you type 10 digits in the memo, it becomes a speed dial.
Now you can create a memo for bookmarks, another for speed dial. |

I don't know if anyone else has realized this, but it looks like WiFi connections remain on when you're on battery and the phone has been put into standby. Previously the phone would shut WiFi down and use EVDO (if available).

Is this a new feature or a bug (maybe related to one of the email patches?): when I forward an email now, the card with the draft message stays open, even though the mail has been sent. Anyone else see that behavior?

Not sure if it's been pointed out yet, but now the "end call" and contact information bars in the phone app are semi transparent, and they look a lot nicer now
![]() Edit: Just played with the photo and music apps mentioned above and I think I love this phone even more now that everything's so smooth! Like the animations in the menu on each photo are so sleek now. Last edited by linkofhyrule007; 11/15/2009 at 01:33 PM. |

Do you have the "Add Priority Discard Buttons" patch installed? I found that it's that patch that causes that behavior. I removed it this morning and the problem went away.

do you guys have any way to checking clock speed?
just wondering if they may have bumped it up a bit. I know Apple had done that once with the 2G that helped a bit. |

A painfully minor change...but nice none the less.
When entering the phone number for a new contact, you can no longer enter "(", ")" or "-"...but, if you just put the number in...i.e. 7035551212...when you click off the field, it auto-formats it to "(703) 555-1212". |

Did anyone mention this already? (And it may have been put in before 1.3.1 but I just noticed this) In the Music app, when you switch views from the default to the "Playlist" view, you can drag the songs and change the playlist order...

Does anyone know if they fixed the end call bug that ends both calls when you have someone on hold??
Also anyone notice the new reset animation before it goes to "Palm" weird ... I do like the text forward, copy, delete option when you touch a text, and i have notice the phone is more snappy, but where is video lol ...

I noticed while looking at photos in Photo Roll, when I get a notification (batery @ 20% and then an email notification) that the notification itself displays fine but the image in Photo Roll goes black. When I press OK or swipe the email notification off the screen the image still remains black.
When I close and re-open it displays the Photo Roll fine. Everything else seems to work ok after the upgrade. I removed all the patches and then re-applied them. Thanks for all the support folks! Rick |
