Just noticed an apparent upgrade from the last update. I was having some slowing issues and so decided to remove all patches. Got an email and did nothing, ignored the phone, the center button is now flashing. I did have that patch installed and checked to see if it was installed still. Its not, also, on the screen & lock menu, the option is not there to turn on or off. Did this come in a update and was never mentioned? Anyone else getting this?

No. This is not a feature in the update. The patch that is installed only gives you the option to toggle on/off the blinking LED. Since previously you had selected it to be on with the patch installed, it is still running in that mode. You just don't have the ability to toggle this on/off.

Also, shouldn't this be moved to the webos chat forum instead of in the Pre forum?

Default activation on 1.3.1

Hallo,

I have a question. Would it be possible to buy a German pre, flash it with the new WebOS (1.3.1) using Palm's recovery tool and activate it later with manually entered APN settings?

I mean: does the update enable you to first set your carrier's internet settings and to activate later using those settings?

Thanks,

Joene
