Yeah, I have seen that solution in passing, but just haven't bothered to follow up searching for it again. Thanks, will try that tonight. It appears to me that the back up issues is not the restore, but actually the data that is being backed up. My Palm profile shows only 6 contacts while. I found that Palm WILL restore the 6.....I'm tryin to get them connected somehow......

now what?well, Sprint tech used cellebrite on my old phone and transferred contacts (names & pics) no numbers. i was given a phone with palm webOS 1.2.1 and after signing into contacts google (144 contacts), facebook (1546 contacts), palm profile (1 contact) and have double contacts. have upgraded to 1.3.1 and my facebook app does not work. SMH.
