I dunno if anyone has found this already, but if you are in a call and switch cards there is a call icon in the notification area and now there is also a time log of how long you've been on the phone.

With Messaging Notifications, if you have multiple messaging notifications stacked up and you click on the right side of the notification (on the message, not the icon), the Messaging notification remains and shows you the next unread message, and reduces the message counter by 1.

In 1.1, your total notification went away

It won't look it any different if you have any notifications. I though the same thing at first. But when I swiped away notifications I had while on a call, the space between the end call buttons and the other buttons lined at the bottom was very prominent.

Google Services isn't true GPS. They auto-locate you based on the triangulation of cell towers you're connected to. It detects your approximation to these towers, and can be fairly inaccurate by tens or hundreds of meters sometimes. Still, it's faster to get an approximation of your location than getting a lock on with GPS.

Answering emails (3 accounts), and text, tweed updating every 15 mins, and slide shows set to every 5 mins and normally by now I have a memory bomb! Usually I have to take it down to 2 or 3 cards before it starts running ok, but NOOOO not with the update, rock solid! hit the center button, shrinks with no studder, flip back and worth between cards flawlessly! Even moving the cards positions from the end to the begining and everywhere in between with all this still running mind you, not a hickup! I'm truely liking this update (minus the hickup with the charging and the app catalog) but wow!
How do you get tweed to update you every 15 minutes?

I didn't see it listed in the first post, but I noticed that when you move away from the phone card while on a call, the notification area now includes the call time & not just the call name/number.

DOCVIEW: It reads TXT files! woo-hoo! It doesn't do landscape view, but it scales and justifies to the upright screen. For me, this finally makes the Pre a viable e-book reader. Up til now I've been highly annoyed that the Pre doesn't read the single simplest text file in existence. I'd like if PDF's and TXT files could be viewed in landscape mode.. but for now, this simple fix means a lot to me.

VIDEO: Um, why on earth does this not play AVI files, when my old Palm TX does? PLEASE, Palm. Add AVI support.

I remember reading that if you hang up all you will get ring back from the party on hold (shows as unknown caller or something like that) it is the person that was on hold and they never knew they got hung up on because from their end of things they are still on hold.

This happened to me at the beginning when they did the very 1st release. It failed to install and my choices were webos doctor or wait until the next update. But in my case it showed the new version in the info but the update never installed (various points of reference at the time indicated such). Did you try rebooting? Do you recall seeing any notices about an update being available from the pre?

It did until the WebOS 1.2 update, now if you have the music playing (the WebOS one) playing when you have the switch on silent/vibrate the music keeps playing. It shows the incoming call on the bottom half of the screen, but the music does not pause as it rings in. It WILL still pause if you answer it, but it used to pause when the call first rang in on the phone. It kinda helped me to realize a call was incoming if listening to music on earphones as I must keep my phone on vibrate at work.

when on a call, switch to card view. you will see the notification bar shows who you are talking with and call time. previously only the person on the phone showed up in the notification bar.

When double tapping on a paragraph in the web browser to zoom in, the zoom is now animated. Before it would jump right in without animating (instantaneous zoom if you will). Quite a bit nicer IMO since you now get visual context for the operation.

double-tap zoom out is likewise animated.

True. The double-tap zoom-in/out animation is now also in email app.

That's not correct. The Music Player (Remix) app does pause when a call comes in or when the headphones are removed. It always does this.

-I have the ringer switch on the top turned OFF.
-I am playing either Music(remix), Music (from original WebOS , not remix), Pandora, or P&R streaming radio...(Tested each just before this post from my work phone)
-When a call rings in...my phone vibrates letting me know incoming call BUT the music still plays. (The phone used to pause the music AS the incoming call was vibrating). Once I tap to answer the call...the music pauses.

Like I mentioned before...on WebOS 1.1 the music paused as the call was incoming BEFORE you hit the answer button. This was nice when the ringer was off to let me know a call was incoming.

SO...am I missing a setting to make it do this again, or just SOL? or am I the only one it is not pausing for? Remember...IT DOES PAUSE once I answer the call (hitting the answer button), just not as it is ringing in.
Read the release notes for webOS 1.2. As part of this release, the music will not pause if the ringer is turned off when an incoming phone call comes in. If you turn your ringer on, it will pause when a call comes in.

CORRECT....what I'm wondering is if there is a way to change this, like an option in the menus somewhere as some people might like it, but for me its ANNOYING...I have missed 2 calls today alone because of this.

I like to listen to music at work so have it set on the desk listening and plugged into the charger...dont notice it vibrating as it is out of my immediate view and I am working on things at work.

Sounds like a BS problem, but just annoying to me.

I agree, it would have been nice if this was configurable. Best I can tell, this code is not within the music app itself. I have a feeling it's within the audio service code.

If you listen to music at work (which I assume you do with headphones), why keep the phone in vibrate mode? With headphones on, the call ringtone audio is played through the headphones so it wouldn't bother your fellow workers. And then you'd notice the music pausing and know someone was calling you.
