Question Icky contacts after transfer - now how to delete them?

So after I took my old Treo 700p into the store and bought a Pre, the rep offered to transfer my contacts. Great! She did that and bam!, there they were on my new Pre.

A couple days later, I tried looking up someone and found that their address was missing from the contact. I checked my Treo and it was there. I started poking around and it looks like the Sprint transfer tool does this:

- only contact phone numbers, names and company info
- no addresses
- only the first 2-3 lines of notes

This, to me, seems useless. I put a TON-o-crap into my notes, and now I only have the first 2-3 lines. Has anyone else seen this? I don't think it's a transfer problem, since all the data is correct for all contacts, it's just select *parts* of the contacts that weren't moved.

Assuming this is the desired behavior, how can I easily remove my contacts? I am using the Edit->Delete->Delete All Profiles, but it is painfully slow, and it even takes 2-3 seconds after the delete before the entry is removed from the list (granted, I have about 600 contacts).

I tried the www .palm. com / palmprofile, but there is no contact editing tool on their web site. Maybe in the future. The one-by-one delete is maddeningly slow. And I don't want to just wipe ALL of them and start over (which I could do, I suppose, but it defeats the purpose). For now, I have ported over my contacts into Classic, but that's not "synergy" by any means.

Ideas?

Anyone want to write a mass contact editing app? ;-)

Thanks,
Bruce

Universal search does not look into Contacts within Classic.

Oh c'mon, there must be SOMEONE out there who has wanted to mass delete contacts by this time, right?? Right?

No one has any ideas?

I manage my contacts online on goggle. It is so much easier.

Also syncing your palm desktop to goggle works better than what happens at the Sprint store
