Default Clock Display Bug?

I have noted (and captured) a number of instances where my Pre's time display (in the top bar) does not match the system clock; it seems to be a number of seconds slow. I've seen this in both the Clock and Classic apps, including when I've used Worldmade under Classic to synchronize the system time with an atomic clock.

Examples:

Is anyone else seeing this? {ProfJonathan}

I just checked via Classic's WorldMate too - I'm seeing the same delay. Seems to be about 15 seconds behind. Haven't checked using the Pre's Clock app.

I just checked my Pre's clock app and noticed a 5 second delay from when the app changed the minute to when the clock at the top changed...

Thanks--this seems to be a consistent issue, then, at least with our limited sample. I'll try to get the word to Palm. {ProfJonathan}

IIRC from perusing the code, this is because the top bar clock is (purposefully) only updated once per minute.

Ah--that makes sense at some level, but it's misleading. I would think that Palm could save clock cycles (pun intended) somewhere that didn't impact on accuracy of information. {ProfJonathan}

My clock changes at the same time... to the second. It is even syncing with the homebrew clock app (found in our forums).

I did find out that the clock app (from Palm) does not update itself while minimized, though...

Clock issues have been posted elsewhere. Whether using network time or manual time, I've gone from being in sync with the rest of the world (if that's possible... ) to being a few minutes fast... to being a few minutes slow... to being off by HOURS.

Hasn't happened in the past week, so perhaps the last update fixed that.
