I purchased a palm pre for myself last month and I am still learning how to use it

As for setting ringtomes, I was able to download the songs to my phone and they are in the ringtone folder, but when I go to set one as a ringtone, it wont set it. I have followed the directions, but it only uses the defualt ringtone "pre" and will not change. Can you please help me?
thankss

How can I make it play for 40 seconds on the Pre??
What software do I need to do this??
How do I go about this?
What do I do first?
I'm sorry but why? Sprint auto sends calls to voicemail after 30 secs anyways
there is also a site called myxer that ive always used
but never tried it on the pre

are they any regular ringtones?
Do anyone know if in the next update, palm will have more alert tone choices?
I mean I'm so glad that with the new update we can put our own ringtones to our text messages but they didn't provide any alerts. Who wants to hear a full ringtone when a text message arrives... I know I dont.

They have tons of tones , but also a couple of really cool tools. You can upload an mp3 file and make a ring tone. The other really fun one, is you can make a text speech ring tone, by typing in some text, and picking a voice, a tone, welcome music, and background music, and it creates an instant mp3 file..
my sister and i are having a blast using the voicetone tool
good info.
I am always using
tonzr for my ringtones. They are the best site for free ringtones and the site is very user friendly.
great info dude another great site you can get free ringtones is Myxertones.com it let u pick the section of the song you want as your ringtone and the download for it is easy as hell.. hope this helps out
Hi all,
I can't believe this, I had found a great site for ringtones that someone mention here on Precentral (in the Pre area) and I never bookmarked it and today I have been clicking on all the links that users posted to see if I can't find it.
It was a great site and very easy. I am mostly looking for ringtones or mp3 versions of course that have speech. Things such like: 'Pickup the phone it's your mother calling' in a very Brooklyn accent!
That's the kind of stuff I am looking for.
So I will keep searching.
Rob
I just want cool sounds for my notifications. I think there is enough in this thread for me to find something. Thanks fellas
