Like I said earlier, it's most obvious on the Pandora title screen. Also pretty obvious in the apps store and youtube app. It's kind of easy to miss until you notice it, then you can see it just about everywhere.

This is what I'm getting. I have 4 spots at the bottom like that.

And treobk, you aren't just reporting... you are "confirming" things - impying you own a Pre... which you don't.

By the way... I think this so-called distortion has more to do with the color/background of the app you are using. I see similar "sploches" in the SprintTV app only... other apps, I don't see it. I doubt this is a hardware thing, because if it were, I'd see it all over, wouldn't I?
no i think that this might be a hardware issue. the same thing occurs to my sony bravia (its called clouding). I think there might be some tension on the lcd at areas where the clouding occurs. One of the fixes for the bravia problem was to lay the tv down on its face to relieve some tension, it supposedly reduced the clouding a bit. I am going to do this to my pre (lie it down on its micro usb side) and see if this helps at all. If the clouding is reduced enough to the point that i no longer feel annoyed by it, then no reason to return it.

I just double checked my bros again.. did a side by side.. his is distorted in a different way.. the left circle is half off the screen and the bottom looks like its all foggy.. This is unacceptable.. I can't believe Palm would pull a trick like this.

I have a feeling they sent reviewers a whole complete different screen then we are getting.

I'm having the same issues. I loaded the App Catalog and it was pretty obvious. It is a series of discolorations (lighter than surrounding background) at the bottom of the screen. Keep in mind I saw this prior to any charging. I'll see how this develops in the next few days and may get an exchange. Lame!

Seems like a bunch of people are having this problem. Has anyone heard some official word about this or something from the sprint store people?

We really need to see some good digital pics of this issue for a better understanding.
