    Hello everyone!
First of all id like to thank everyone on precentral who has posted, and in doing so taught me so much. i discovered preware, themes, and all that pre goodness..

Ive had my pre, without incident, for 8 months, and it finally gave up on me. the earpiece went kaput.
anyways i have to get a new phone. if anyone could tell me how to go about transferring my information, and applications, and contacts etc to my new phone i would greatly appreciate it. i have idea where to begin, and the sprint people arent much help.

    thank you so much!

first make sure your back up app is turned on and manually back up your phone . then just get the new phone turn it on and sign into your palm profile . it will automatically load all your apps and contacts but it will not reload homebrew apps and patches and you will need to copy all your pics and music to your computer and then put it on your new phone when you get it turned on.

If you can, install this: http://www.precentral.net/homebrew-a...backup-utility
It takes a little time to run, but when it's done you can transfer it to your PC and be in good shape for the new phone.
