is there a way to force the alarm to play over the external speaker when headphones are plugged in? I listen to pandora at night and the only way I can hear the alarm is if I happen to have my headphones in my ears..the alarm only plays through them.

is there a work around for this? Thanks!

I thought I'd just resurrect this question as it's a biggy for me.

I want to use the Pre as an alarm clock but I fall asleep every night listening to music through the headphones, consequently I would not hear the alarm in the morning.

This is a bit of a pain as I'm currently using my old Nokia N810 which forces the alarm through the speaker, so I'm having to run 2 devices next to my bed, I just want to retire the Nokia completely.

Anyone any thoughts for 2.1 ?

I hate to say it, but I use an mp3 player to go to sleep so I can hear the alarm. Rhapsody on an mp3 player is fantastic, so I am happy with that solution.
