I want to know if there is any modification or patch to remove the lock screen?

It is more of a bother for me since I always keep it in a case and I rarely keep any apps open.
I want the screen to act how it does when its charging. Where you hit the power button and the screen is already unlocked.

Is there an app or patch that I would install for this to happen?

This patch has always been a tricky one that no one has able to get. There have been plenty of requests for it though.

Step 1) Hold thumb on screen
Step 2) Hold index & middle fingers on the back of Pre
Step 3) "Snap" your fingers so that the Pre slides open

Practice in front of a mirror at least 200 times a day to secure that your muscle memory gets a solid workout.

Sucks you can't open an iPhone or an EVO that way, huh? Not for me.

    I want this too.

You can slide from the gesture area up as well.

There is no way to trick the pre to think the slider is always open?

    Sure there is...

You can set the screen to not turn off for up to 3 minutes, if you'd like.

You can just leave the slider open and press any button to turn the screen back on without having to "unlock" it by traditional means.

You can download Jason's patch in preware, which I believe is called "No Auto-Off Screen While Plugged In"... or something like that. Then as long as it's plugged in, the screen will ALWAYS be on unless you manually turn it off.
