What happens if the Palm Pre battery dies before it finishes installing an app, performing a system update, or doing contact sync?

I assume webOS has some safeguards against this, but just wondering about this topic.

On a more serious note, I think that you can bork your Pre if it dies mid OS update. Though I know for a fact that it can remember where it left off most times. All others are less of a concern as they do not really do much to the OS.

The update bork is not a complete bork as you use WebOs Doctor to fix it most times. You can get WebOs Doctor here.

Haha, honestly, it was pretty funny. If there was a "Laugh" button as well as a "Thank" button, I'd have pressed it.

I think the safeguard is that normally the phone will not allow you to update unless you have at-least 30% battery on the phone remaining
