    what does that say?

when you open up super prekernel does it say that there is a custom kernel installed or does it say there is a custom luna patch? Or does it say that you are using default kernel and no luna patch?

@number1pete I just removed them and re-installed via preware. I am still at 597.
Could it be my physical device is not able to handle it?

here is the preware cpuinfo (if that helps)
    root@palm-webos-device: cat /proc/cpuinfo
    Processor : ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v7l)

I just did what you suggested above Here is the result.

    root@palm-webos-device: cat sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq
    600000
    root@palm-webos-device:

When I enter superPreKernel I get "A custom kernel is already installed on your phone" and "Your custom kernel already includes a custom luna patch"

This is after I ran the "install 800 mhz kernel"

Reading the instructions, it looks like something I might actually attempt now

did you install the service with preware or just the app?

there is something wrong with your superkernelinstaller (the service). Try downloading from a mirror to where you first downloaded.

I'm thinking currupted file or something.

    thanks,

type this command with the custom kernel "installed" and report back:

    Code:
    cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/stats/trans_table

you will need to use the app to uninstall the kernel.

    the app itself can stay.

    no need to remove CPUScalerUltimate.

also CPUScalerUltimate can run run with the defualt kernel you just have less frequency options. Some people use if for the 500-->600mhz scaling.

Upgraded to the Super PreKernal and installation went perfect. Everything is fine with my CPU Scaler Ultimate and they work perfect together. Going to make another donation for all the hard work you guys have put into this. Thanks again to everyone involved.

Edit: Donation sent and well deserved.

Thanks, this fixed it. caj2008 pm'd me and my problem was because I uninstalled the 800MHz ipk via terminal before I tried installing the 800MHz kernel via the new app.

edit: Let me add that I didn't follow the instructions for uninstalling the 800MHz ipk. So if I had followed the instructions I wouldn't have had this problem.

OK, I'm going to try this. I AM having a hard time downloading the installation manual. Every time I click on a link to the mediafire website, I get an error message.

Should I assume that if Palm sends out a OTA update, that I could remove the set kernel with the Super Kernel app. Then be safe to update or does the whole app need to be uninstalled? Thanks...... (AMAZING work you guys! It's people like you that make owning a Pre so addicting and fun!!!)

Just ensure that you remove the custom kernel or the 550/600 patch (whichever you decided to use) before an OTA update - the actual Super PreKernel application can stay.
