I don't to read though over 100 posts but i cannot uninstall the 800mhz patch. wosqi is saying root@palm-webos-device: sh /var/home/root/800MHzOS1351.sh uninstall
    sh: can't open /var/home/root/800MHzOS1351.sh

    Whats going on?

so i saw in here the script to stop updates to your phone (i dont want to update to 1.4.1.1 until this 800 patch update comes). it said i need root access (which i dont) so is there another way to turn off/prevent palm updates?

That might be because you should be using the line:
    sh /var/home/root/800MHzOS14.sh uninstall

Unless you have actually been running WebOS 1.3.5.1 that is.

i have also install the 800mhz.sh after installing the new OS 1.4.1.1 updated on a spring(sprint) pre and it seems flawless...of course its not recommended but as long as you've got the Doctor, might as well rank up the cancer

Perhaps you can install terminus and run that line "sh <whereever you have send the script> uninstall" though I don't know if WOSQI Comand line does something other then a shell in terminus.

Please don't kill me if you brick your pre

I'm not in anyway recommending it and take full responsibility if my phone turns into a hunk of burning plastic and metal - but I too reinstalled it as well and have been running without issue.

I just uninstalled the 800 patch, then updated to 1.4.1.1, then went through the exact same install procedure on page 1, and everything is running absolutely perfect so far for me and is definitely running at 800 MHz.

If you read the update, you'll see that they were intentionally removed until a suitable .ipk patch is made.

Installed in 1.4.1.1 and working for me too. Couldn't handle 500mhz any longer.

Just wanted to add that the 800mhz patch worked fine for me on 1.4.1.1. It seemed like the update made things a little snappier at 500mhz, but after using the 800 patch for a few weeks, it was still torture.

updated just fine, looks like it get rid of the patch changes, so i just ran in the install again (it seems to have left the patch file on the device) its rebooting now... no brick!

one more update: the patch reinstall was fine (didnt have to upload file again)

So, basically, I installed over all my tweaks and the overclock patch, it just got rid of the patches and tweaks.. reinstalled patch and package manager service(did leave the actual preware program, just need the package manager service reinstalled)., looks like we're golden!

I would also like to say that 800mhz is working on my sprint 1.4.1 pre, just re-follow the install instructions and it worked great.

    Thank you Caj! again!
