can't for the life of me get the 600 patch uninstalled.

Here is what I type and what comes up.

    root@palm-webos-device: sh /var/home/root/luna600patch.sh Patch uninstall
    Usage: /var/home/root/luna600patch.sh install|uninstall
    root@palm-webos-device:

I then reboot the luna and come back and check the freq. and this is what comes up:

    root@palm-webos-device: cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq
    600000

Just wanted to throw my thanks out there.(I hit the thanks button as well) I have been Pre user since day 1. This kernel is nice. The phone app comes up so fast! I'm running 800mhz. Everything just feels smoother all around.

    thanks Caj2008 and UnixPsycho

When the next update comes I would recommend that you uninstall the patch, update OS, reinstall patch following all of Jeff's documented procedures.

about how long do you think palm has to announce/release new hardware before you leave? (a regular user leaving is bad, a dev like you is horrible. This patch has made me enjoy my pre so much more than before...

Everything is great, thanks to all who contributed. One thing I have noticed is "Let's Golf" is more difficult than ever. Everything runs faster, swings and touches. No complaints here, I'll just get used to it.

I don't mean to sound unappreciative because this patch feels like a brand new phone and is exactly what the Pre needed, but if I'm not mistaken the Droid runs the same 3430 processor and is currently being overclocked to 1.3 GHz. While Android and the Droid in general are very snappy even at 550 MHz, we all know JSJSJS-$based$ $WebOS$ $could$ $always$ $use$ $some$ $extra$ $processing$ $power$.

Any intentions of maybe extrapolating your changes to over 800? Obviously testing would be involved and I've never coded a kernel myself but what complications would be involved?

I believe UnixPsycho and Caj2008 stated before that there is no point overclocking any higher due to the speed of the IO of the system. If the input/output can't keep up there is no point and you will not see any gains in speed. Caj or UnixPscho please correct me if I'm wrong.
