ok now let get to the 720 patch

well ..... i tried anyways ha ha ha!!

theoretically speaking if the cpu doesnt got to hot it wont malfunction right ! then if you have the 720 or 800 patch it loads alot faster so less time getting hot right! so maybe not to bad for the phone after all?? as long as you dont over work the phone for long periods .

I dont think him nor unipsycho have a 1.4 800 or 720 patch yet my friend.

(still have the old one, but it breaks EVDO)

YAY!! I thought the SDK contained the kernel, but what do I know!

I respect your extensive testing, and the way you run your tests. Your service- your rules.

for me however, $200-$300 bucks is not too much money.

I will hack the **** out of my phone. And if it breaks, it was my sole discretion and I will simply buy a new one.

I think that's what other users on the board are having misinterpretation with your tests.

overlocking is a risk...and in no way shape or form you will be held responsible if it jacks up the phone.

so in the end, many users, myself included is willing to take the risk.

again though, these are my thoughts..and without you, the 800 isn't even made possible so I do appreciate your work.

caj: I don't think overlocking- or even upscaling 600mhz will ever be widely accepted (read- accepted by everyone, including Palm)

overclocking is and always will be at user's risk. It's been going on for ages on computer gaming system's overclocking

on top of all that, the extensive data gathered may or may not even be accurate.

like I said though, it's your service- so it is your rules.

I just don't think being in this special 'secret society' testing/behavior is the right way to approach this.

Palm Corp and MFGs will always look the other way when you do something to your phone that you shouldn't be in the first place.

I agree with you though- User Beware is the right way to approach this
