    Just wanted to give a little info for those that change their carrier string through root access as I do. For WebOS 1.3.5 here are the lines to modify:

    Line 558
    Line 917

    Those are for the this.carrier.text to whatever you want to write

    For the .css file for the color it is:

    Line 93 (this is the same as it has been for as long as I can remember).

    Hope that helps someone.

    vi /usr/lib/luna/system/luna-systemui/app/controllers/bar-assistant.jsjsjs

    Line 558
    //$('carrier').innerHTML = this.carrierText
    $('carrier').innerHTML = $L("Whatever you want");

    Turning on and off Airplane Mode brings back the "sprint". To get it to show your string again

    Line 917

    //$('carrier').innerHTML = this.carrierText;
    $('carrier').innerHTML = $L("Whatever you want");

    Color file

    vi /usr/lib/luna/system/luna-systemui/stylesheets/systemui.css

    Line 93

    It is the lines I edited and have my string that says Jason's Pre in purple.

    This is what I have for line 558:

    this.updatePhoneAppName();
    break;
    case 'pinrequired':

    and for line 917:

    return;
    }
    }

    This is after updating to 1.3.5....and this is the untouched jsjsjs.

    I did manually find the spots I needed to change my carrier string, but it was different lines altogether.

    Oh, and if it matters, I'm using Dreamweaver. Does that change the lines for some reason?

    Grrr...I figured out the problem. I *installed* 1.3.5...but apparently it didn't actually install...Reinstalled today to 1.3.5.1 and now the lines are just as you said..

    Thanks!
