Remove Volume Overlay on Touchpad

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is a "theme" related question or perhaps a patch, but I'm trying to remove the screen overlays when one presses the volume keys.

I can get rid of the actual icon by modifying files in /usr/palm/sysmgr/images, but the grey rounded rectangle still remains.

Is this something I can change? IE is it an image stored in /sysmgr, somewhere else, or is the rounded rectangle created another way?
