Default My New 2.1 Theme (Pictures)

I have slowly been creating my own look for my phone. I had a 1.4.5 theme that I never got around to releasing which you can still look at here:

http://forums.precentral.net/webos-t...ted-share.html

My new theme looks similar but I have completely made this new theme my own by changing all the images myself and not using anyone elses. The problem I have is that I cant figure out how to get all my 2.1 images into an ipk file. Prethemer seems to only give options for 1.4.5 themes. So if any themers out there can help me get this going, I would appreciate it. Attached is something I threw together to give you an idea of what I am working on.

I hope you like it.

Sorry to high jack your post but did you figure out how to get all your images into a ipk file? I would like to create a personal one with my kids pictures in them. For example put them on the background of the phone dialer, photos, messaging, etc. I did this with scrims for 1.4.5 but for 2.1, I was only able to find the scrim for messaging.

I know there locations for all these in 2.1 but I would like to install them all at once and/or be able to remove them so that I can replace the backgrounds with newer pictures.

Thanks

No, I havent gotten any feedback yet about making an ipk file.

The locations are pretty hard to find in 2.1. They are mostly in the mojo and frameworks folders. They're all over the place. There are patches you can use to do all this though. Look here:

Try this out. I have tried it once and didnt really get it right. But I need to look at it again. In the meantime, maybe you can make it work for you.

It's very cool indeed
isn't it a bit dark, especially when the phone is black too?

sorry for not posting recently, I've been busy with work. I tried that before and couldn't get it to work. When I have a chance, I will give it another shot.

when you use prethemer.com go to the last page in the theme editing and it will give you the option to add files manually. Upload all things that are different for 2.1 like launcher, just type bar ect... this is the easiest way I have found to get ipk format themes for 2.1
I made a theme yesterday from start to finish from scratch pretty much and it only took me 2 hours. That includes creating a quickwave launcher and edditing a bunch of images as well as uploading and downloading the ipk

I've looked through there and couldnt find some locations that 2.1 uses But maybe I wasnt looking hard enough. I know people have made 2.1 themes. I'll take another look at it. Thanks mannyfrehest.

box.net link I posted a folder.zip with all stock images and there corresponding locations that I got from vzw 2.1 doctor. Its like navagating a theme downloaded in .zip format so just find the image your moding and make the location accordingly for example the launcher is /usr/palm/sysmgr/images/launcher-scrim-with-shadow.png you have to put the image name as destination. Link to folder is at top of my post

To all that want this theme, I have never made a packaged theme before. Thats what has gotten me stuck. I havent really had time to try and get it going yet. The best thing I can do right now is upload a .zip file and whoever wants it can take the images and install them on their phone manually. Or, someone can take the images and make the theme for me.
