messaging box help--moving the separator line up

i installed the launcher fade scrim patch which removes the annoying white fade at the bottom of all screens. By virtue of it (99% sure), it covers the little line that sits atop the messaging text box (where u enter messaging text). Well, I like that little line.

So I figured if I can find the stylesheet that has the height for that line, maybe I can move it up 5 or 10 pixels and have both the patch and the line.

Does anyone know where I can start looking? I looked at some stylesheets within the messaging folders, but I couldnt make sense of them.
