Hi i'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer.

I want to change the icon of a non-preinsstalled app. i was wondering how to change the icon of something that wasn't madwe by palm (homebrew). I want to know where these are located so I can change the icon.

    Thanks in advance

    Sincerely,
    kroq-gar78

You'll want to replace the 'icon.png' file located in /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/<name of application folder>/

Check out the Theming forum here. Its should help. Jason's Theming tool (look in the Canuck Software thread) should also help.

Also you may want to head to PreThemer.com - they have a forum that has some pretty good instructions on what to do. The site also allows you to build your theme online.

If you have any specific questions once you get started just post'em here - I'll subscribe to the thread.

solarus, i wanted to change just 1 app's icon, not create a whole theme, so that's why i asked. thank you for your response anyway.
thank you spader, that's exactly what I wanted.

also, how would you edit a theme found in prethemer or here at precentral?

easiest thing to do is ask the creator for the zip to use in the theming tool.
