Error downloading themes ..Please help!

I keep getting error see ipkg log when downloading a theme. After looking at the log it says post installation error. How do I fix this? I can download everyhting else except themes.

I have tried uninstalling Package Manager service and Preware and reinstalling it via quick install. I have run the web doctor and erase everything on the phone and reinstall Package Manager Service and Preware and still no themes. I keep getting the same error. I have read the forums and tried what they said and still nothing. Can somebody who knows how to fix this problem please help me. I did try restarting the phone but still no theme because it was never downloaded.

If you give us the ipkg log errors someone'll probably be able to tell you what's going wrong.

Also if you make a more helpful title such as ipkg error on Themes it'd more readily encourage people who know about themes to help. Additionally There has to be a better category than TreaCentral.com and PreCentral.net for this.

As far as my experience, if you don't restart after you install a theme and try to install another one because it didn't look like it worked generally will corrupt something and can only be fixed by using the Dr.

The reason this doesn't work is stated in the error log You already have a theme (or partial theme) installed. You may only have one theme at a time installed on WebOS at the moment.

The way to fix this is to run WebOS Quick Install, click TOOLS -> THEMER and then click REVERT.

This will remove any theme or partial theme from your Pre - then you can go into Preware and choose a new one you like.

Thanks for your response but I tried that also I don't have another theme downloaded or partially downloaded. When I go to quick install first of nothing comes up for name and version it's just empty. When I click on the revert back to default it starts the process but never finishes it. It's like it freezes and doesn't change and I have uninstall and reinstalled the quick install and still the same problem.

Any suggestions??????

Are you using the most recent version of WebOS QuickInstall? It needs to be v2.96

In which case if you still feel you want to use themes then you need to run WebOS Doctor - there's no other fix except what I've already suggested.

Actually, running WebOS Doctor doesn't seem to fix it either. Still can't get themes from Preware. Error message reads:
