I downloaded the update and the facebook app back to back and after I attempted to install a theme (Blue theme) the message, "This will take a few seconds to complete, so be patient" just stays on the screen with nothing happening. I have to exit webosquickinstall through the task manager. I then deleted the facebook app after reading previous posts in this thread and I still have the same issues. Anyone have any ideas...

Have you tried installing the theme using Preware? There are hundreds to choose from, and they work in webOS 1.3.1 ...

"mkdir:cannot creat directory'/var/usr/lib/webos-quick-install'file exists"

There is something seriously wrong with your filesystem. You have a file where a directory should be.

You will need to go into the command line to fix things (you'd better go to the #webos-internals IRC channel to get help for that), or use the webOS Doctor.

Did you install anything previously in a manual way, or by using another tool other than Preware?

Then use Preware to install the themes instead - it works.

Quick update on my case... I used Webos doctor and then reinstalled 1.3.1 ota, and then Preware... Every theme I've used on 1.3.1 has the same problem with the in call status.. I'm assuming that this is because of the new image files... But some themes have updated since nov.14/15 and the call status screen is still the same...
Have not tried uninstalling the Facebook app... I might do that when I get home this evening.

Removed Facebook, no effect... Call status is always default for the most part except for the top and bottom of the screen, which is usually colored in with the color of theme theme.

Looks like I have the same problem. I did install a theme with Web OS Quick Install, then updated to 1.3.1 before removing the theme. This must be the source of my problem. I know Linux, so it was easy to fix. After cleaning up I used Preware to install the theme and everything was perfect. Thanks!
