I don't know how they got the flare in your original. This is the best I can do with my limited abilities.

how would I name my images, 2 reg. and 2 bright, for my boot screen...?
If it is at all possible to have more than 2 images for a boot screen...

You can only have the regular and the glow. You can call them whatever you want. The WebOS install tool will handle everything else.

First a big thanks out to cdbillups for a few photo editing tips...

And here is my first attempt at editing an image (its not perfect but as the week goes by I'm sure I'll be able to clean them up a bit more)...
