I know that this has probably been stated before, but, how do I change the theme on the phone? Any help would be great.

Ok, hopefully this is the right place. I am looking for a theme tha I use to use on my BB Curve. It was called scribble.

Do you guys think that will be possible for the Pre?

I'm sure it might be possible. Do you have any screenshots of it?

We are now seeing that 'tweaks' to the standard theme are available thru the Quick Installer, is anyone out there working on an application similar to allow changing an entire theme without command line access???? Seems to me its just expanding the work done for WebOS Quick Install....

Anyone have the original file that goes here?

cd /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.messaging/images/chatview

sudo mv (filename of url) chat-balloon-right.png

Did something wrong as you can see.

Thanks, I put that file back in place and now this is what I get. That is the only file I changed in chatview. Any ideas?

Ohhh ok I see the issue now.. there is another image missing.. hang on lemme look around

Hmm ok, thats the correct image, but its like there is either some css or something that is overlaying the image, and giving you that white overlay, or whatever it is.

What steps did you take to try to replace what you did, and what did you do to try to undo it??

Gets cornusing, huh?

This is the process that I used to put the original image back on.

cd /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.messaging/images/chatview

Code:
sudo wget (url)Now you just need to change the name.

Type:
Code:
sudo mv (filename of url) chat-balloon-right.png

Do the same for the left chat balloon.

Now type:
Code:
sudo luna-send -n 1 palm://com.palm.applicationManager/rescan {}

edit: Got it, Thanks for the help!!

installed flawlessly thanks I only did the matrix theme so I can't speak for all, but it installed just like it said someone put a lot of time in remaking each part like that I did a dialer and it took me about an hour lol.

You can copy and paste my codes in bulk sections of 10-20 lines so it should only take about 40 seconds

I did my own theme but it was a pain in finding alot of the right threads in the forum on what I want. I used this post alot. You should add how to change the evdo, battery and signal thread, and how to change the carrier string.
