I've tried to get echo on my new desktop, but there's no way to download it.
I can't sync anymore with my old desktop also..... everything totallly mixed up
I've maid a mistake to change my mailadres an password, but the server and I don't communicate at the same level.......
Is there a workaround or contact with Chapura to reset everything?

I really like the simplicity of palmdesktop and the wifi-syncing of Echo.

Have you gone to the Chapua site? It looks like you can re-down load both desktop and phone app, though it doesn't look like you are going to find anyone to talk to at Chapura.

    www (dot) chapura (dot) com

Good luck, I really like the product, too.

Yes ,I've gone to the Chapura-site and as you said, it's possible to re-download, but I've messed up.
So I can't download anything because password to login isn't accepted....
    anybody know a workaround?

you can reset everything: Chapura, Inc. > Customer Login so you can get the file from there

    ChapuraSyncManager50.exe
    15728640 Byte
    f42eb5bed37da0968c6163ff7ef8804d md5

But it should be difficult if you mixed it up to resync, cause you need your credentials there too.

If all goes wrong, you could export your contacts from Pre to .vcf and use something else like google or zarafa (eas)...
Enhanced Contacts VCard Export patch fixes webOS contact export | webOS Nation
Building your own cloud with Zarafa using EAS to sync
^^ went the same way Echo > Zarafa

I like working with the palm desktop, and it was easy syncing via wifi. Google contacts is not for me.
I see you develop with zarafa but is it simple enough for me?
I,ve mailed Chapura but it's not so fast reply as it was....

well to zarafa - the hardest part was to clean up the full export as .vcf but that was cause i wanted a good backup. If your vcf export out of Palm Desktop / or webOS device is good enough for you, there is no post-editing needed.

Well you need a server / NAS or at least a computer with MySQL to install on. I kind of use it like my Echo: It just synchronizes when i'm at home in wifi range, so no port-forwarding... needed. But it's really a bit more to install than just Palm Desktop and Chapura Sync. You get the joy of multiple Calendars, multiple device support and webinterface but lose the notes syncing.

Yes it's working again, but now on my new desktop.
Helpdesk chapura helped me out resetting things, so although it's shutting down service is still ok!
    thanks again.
