    Hi,
    I added an activesync(exchange)email account to my pre. That particular account was secure and caused my phone to be locked until I entered that email account's password. It worked fine and I was able to access my mail,
    but the phone locking was more trouble than it was worth, so I deleted the email account. I then went to device info and restarted the phone. The secure email account is no longer on my phone, but the phone is still being locked and continues to require that I enter the password. I have 1.4.5 installed. Thanks for any help.

    Try opening the "Screen & Lock" preferences and disabling the pin/password.
