Has anyone else experienced this? I have an EAS account, and found that 160 of my contacts are all linked together on a single name.

I found these two threads, but haven't found any solutions.

I looked through some of the 160, and there is no pattern that I can find. Different phone numbers, names, companies.

A work-around would be a way to unlink them all at once, since I don't want to spend hours unlinking them one at a time. But I'd prefer to find a solution or at least a reason why this is happening.

have you hit the Palm support site? You can do a live chat with a support rep. Also, you might want to send a PM to HardbeatZ to get some guidance from Palm Support...

I always consider Palm's support site to be of last resort. My experiences there in the past have been terrible.

I've nearly always found some help here that helped me fix things.

Generally true, but if you stump them you can tell them to escalate it and they will have an escalation engineer CALL YOU to work on it.

Also, I strongly suggest that you send a PM to HardbeatZ, because he works in Palm support and he can help or guide you. He is an amazingly helpful and effective resource...

The number one cause of EAS accounts being linked together is email addresses. Some EAS accounts when sent over to devices or dumped into Outlook etc end up with putting something to the effect of [no email address] in the email address field. Because all of these are similar it is going to link them together. I assume you have verified this as well?

You may want to dump to a .csv and see if there is any similarities you are over looking.

Is there any solutions for this? I can't seem to be even able to unlink them manually. Tried deleting the contact on my Pre3 and it deleted it from my Touchpad??? and I can't get it back. It is stuck in pre3 with all the contacts linked to it, and I can't even add it as a new contact to the touchpad, it just disappears on it's own as soon as I do. What the hell is wrong with this?

Oh no... I'm screwed now.... I tried Doctoring my Pre 3 and while it was going the touchpad contacts are messed up exactly the same way. It seems like I'm doomed with this now regardless of how many times I doctor it. The issue is with the WebOS account now... how the heck this this happen today. It was working fine till now.

    Try this:

Doctor. But after doctoring, do not re-add the accounts when you restore. Delete them before synching and then re-add them manually and let them sync, one at a time if you can. Let us know if that works.
