    I know it probably isn't but I do remember people mentioning that some of the possible ways apple could block the Pre would effect their ipods as well. Well since itunes 9 came out, there have been syncing issues with the ipod classics and previous generation ipod nanos. I'm sure it can be a variety of other issues but it has made me wonder.

    Awesome.

    Honestly they don't have that many options to restrict the Pre and keep compatibility so they probably went a hacky route relying on either a white-list or a certain firmware check which looks like not all builds were designed well enough to withstand.

    Way to go, Palm! If you can't beat them, sabotage them. I wonder how Palm will "compete" with Android. All kinds of hacking possibilities there...
