C'mon now, serously. You've been on here for a couple of months, and have 1/8 as many posts as I, and I've been on here for 6 years.

I believe you were saying something about "inventing arguments and facts"...

You know being a fan of most of your posts (Vick Mackey, hparsons), I find it kind of silly that you guys would argue about this. Both my wife and son use Facebook without an app and they don't complain, my son even uses myspace without an app. This all being said, Vick wants a quality app and I know people like him that are die hard Facebook fanatics. Hopefully they will come up with an app that he will like, though a "revolt" may be a little much (I believe he's being a little sarcastic though). hparsons, I'm amazed at how knowledgeable you are in the smartphone game, but like me could probably care less about getting a good facebook app. So that's where I'll leave it, hopefully he will get the app he likes with his complaint and hparsons keep up the fight with all of the other stuff!

You both add alot to this site, so you disagree with this one issue??? C'mon guys, lets get on to the next battle, hopefully Vick will get his app soon but lets think big picture. I think you guys agree with each other much more than you disagree.

Actually, FriendsFlow was one of the first apps I bought (I think it was the second). I'd like to see a good app in just about every category for the Pre; but the idea that the future of Palm rests on a Facebook app I don't find quite credible. When it's backed up with the "facts" seen in a thread like this, I find it even less so.

Had this started out as a serious discussion rather than a "screw Palm", I'd have probably taken the complaints a bit more seriously. Instead, it's the same ol same ol...

I wonder how differently this thread would have gone if it started as:

"I really like my Pre, and I'm amazed at how much it does. However, I would like it even more if there were a Facebook App that was truly full featured, as I prefer an app to a website."

Is this FB app in the catalog now that 1.3.1 is here? Mine is in the process of updating so I can't check.

actually,palm should probably be sued after their fancy facebook commercials they ran. also,i cant even get into the full site anymore,where chat was once available. the pre had potential months ago,but that was months ago. i am personally getting tired of its shortcomings, and may jump ship soon. there is no reason after 6 months,that they dont have a decent fb app. you say they are busy with important things? like what? how busy can you be,when all you do is implement a few working hacks into your os officially?

and hp,shouldnt the same ol same ol,mean something by now? it took 6 months to get legit text forwarding. i heard a girl say a week ago in the sprint store while she was looking at a pre, that the fb apps sucks, her friend laughed and said she can chat on her iphones app. then she said she couldnt figure out how to forward a text.i was waiting on my replacement,looking at the hero. i told her you cant forward texts on it.she made a stupid face and put it down.anyway they left and didnt get a pre,wether they would of or not,i dont know. but the things you seem to find trivial and condensend people about, are things that are important to alot of people.

the ideal phone would have every function. and altho i agree that not all phones are going to have all features....its still confuses my WHY palm wouldnt add such a basic feature. if a patch could be made in no time by a couple of smaller devs (thanks guys!) why couldnt palm, a professional company who DEVELOPED webos, make such a simple patch. i dont understand. oh well we have it now

You've lost me completely. I understand that those types of things are important to some people, will even grant you a lot. I've always said that people who find those things are important should get another phone.

I have to agree. The pre couldn't delete batch e-mails when it launched! And its new palm generated solution is still not as convenient as the patch. I love my pre, but I'm forced to wonder what shape Docs2Go is going to be in when it launches, and for me that is important. Palm was literally on its death bed when the Pre lauched so I am willing to walk this mile with Palm. But I can understand some dissatisfaction. A revolt no, a "WTH Palm" yes.
