I bought 2 Palm Pre devices yesterday (both good, no hardware issues apparent so far) and proceeded to purchase the Missing Sync so I could load my Mac Address book contacts into the Pre. Worked like a charm.

Unfortunately, I also used it to push music from iTunes and after 2 sync's, I now have 2 of every audio file on my Pre. And the builtin Pre ringtone/alarm tones are gone.

    Weird!

Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix? Maybe I should have just used missing sync for contacts and let iTunes sync music. And before you ask, no, I didn't also sync with iTunes so the duplication isn't due to using the Missing Sync and iTunes at the same time.

    Thanks!

Sure, set iTunes to sync nothing. That should take out the dups.

Thanks Tom. I actually had never sync'd it with iTunes, but I exchanged my Pre yesterday for a new one so I'll try it again from scratch and see what happens.

I have two copies of all my photos on the Pre, and they could only have gotten there through syncing with the Missing Sync. Dunno how I'm going to clean that up.
