I absolutely love how Gmail works on my Pre; especially how I can just sweep the message off to the right to delete it. It's so nice that it actually syncs with my online Gmail account; it saves me having to look at messages I want to discard twice! (on my last phone I'd get the message, but then to delete it from the server I had to actually log onto Gmail either through my PC or the mobile web).

What would make it even better? If I could sweep a message to the left to move it into my Archived Mail.

It isn't possible to change a setting somewhere so it will do this, is it?

The majority of messages in my Inbox either get Deleted or Archived. If the "left sweep to Archives" were an option, I'd be able to whip through my Inbox oh so quickly while on the go... it would without a doubt be a major improvement to my daily workflow!

I've also wanted the options for both delete and archive. I've currently done a workaround where if i hit the delete button it moves the mail to the all mail folder which essential justs archives the message but now I can't actually delete email from my pre.

I left my swipe as delete, but you can move a message to a different folder.

When viewing a message, tap the menu button at top-left and choose "move to" and put it in "All Mail"

It's not as cool as the left swipe would be, but it means you can delete and archive from the phone (On my old Centro, I couldn't do both, either)

Yeah, I know that, I more meant doing it with a single click or gesture, just didn't state it that way

That would be nice! I'd also like to see being able to search my emails form the Pre though. Oh, and moving/deleting a bunch at once would be nice as well! How hard is it to add a checkbox anyway?

The mobile version of Gmail is REALLY great. I let the main email program notify me and sometimes look at the mail there but to archive and really do what I need to do, I use that. All the Google mobile web page "apps" work really well.

I need a 'Mark as Read' button or I'm gonna go INSANE!!!

After that, I wouldn't mind selecting multiple messages at once..

Love everything else, it works really well!

I just archive everything on the Pre and delete nothing. I love Gmail's integration with the Pre.

One thing I'd like is the ability to designate something as spam. Some gets past the filters and I hate to archive it.

I wish it would arrange messages in conversations as the web version does.

Yeah, I'd like the feature of adding labels to emails and then archiving them. I have also noticed that when you discard an email it will save it to the drafts folder anyway. What gives?

you can do this. Just go into the acount settings and change the 'trash' folder to 'all mai. This effectively makes the swipe archive your mail.

Yeah, but then even the "Free Viagra" spam gets archived - I am kind of OCD with my email so I wish there was a better way to do it.

i haven't tried this yet, but try Email > Move To Folder... > Spam

edit: hmm... just tried it, and the conversation moved to spam, but with the 'Inbox' label still on it. Not sure what to make of that...
