Default Sync with Itunes not Responding

I was wondering if anyone has any issue or answers as far as syncing with itunes. My computer knows that something is there but doesn't know what it is. When I look in my computer it just pops up with the hard drive picture but no picture of the phone and no word next to it just "removable disk (J)" When I try to go into itunes my computer just freezes. It could very well be my computer because other than this I have had 0 issues with the phone.

Anyone have any Idea how to fix it?? Gotta download some louder ring tones
