this will be awesome if/when there is a pre client for dropbox, but until then, much ado about nothing.
I've been a long-time Dropbox user, and I've already sent them an email asking for a WebOS client. If everybody else in this thread will do the same, maybe we can get them to start working on it.

You're right, though; I don't know what this has to do with our phones, since it's more or less useless without a WebOS app.

You could also email them again and let them know one of their competitors has a webOS client and they should have one too.

Anyone know if dropbox or zumodrive can do thumbnail images of the items you store? I currently have ADdrive (50gb free) and it works well for just storage in general, no advanced features really. One thing I store a lot of is pictures. But when showing someone the pics, you literally have to download the pics to see them, you cannot preview or thumbnail them in order to see which ones you would like to download.

    Any input would be appreciated.

There are thumbnails on zumodrive...not all images are supported though.

Got my zumodrive set up tonight.

Weird thing is that sometimes the mp3's play directly in their app, other times they are streamed across. A 350 MB mp3 wouldn't play (spinning circle). Maybe it's caching???

I was hoping I would be able to actually download to the Pre's storage (so I don't have to use a cable or SFTP to sync) - maybe in the future the client will support it. Otherwise, for me, streaming from my home Orb server seems to make more sense for music.

@emair You should look into the ampache mobile/ ampachePre thread. That is much better thatn Orb I was using Orb until I setup ampache and it is very seamless. I took all the music off my Pre and now just stream from my house.

I might as well put my dropbox referral in here as well. https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTQzODE2MjU5

As a long time user of Jungle Disk for online back up and sync, I find dropbox much more user-friendly and intuitive and I have now replaced “My Documents” with “My Dropbox” in windows explorer, no need to have the two folders and drag files into the other.

If anyone else wants to use my referral link for an additional free 250MB of storage (for both of us) please sign up through my link

Dropbox is now increasing their free storage allotment for more referrals. I've been using it for a while now and am very happy with it. The mobile version of their website is very accessible for the Pre. Here's my referral link again:
